About Brookside Restaurant & Bar
Situated on Horn Rd & Folsom Blvd, along California’s first railroad, Brookside is the “cheers” of Rancho Cordova. Though not always a restaurant, the Brookside dining room has been dedicated to Californians’ enjoyment of eating and drinking for almost a hundred years. The building housing Brookside was originally constructed by Sacramento’s Silva family as a guest house for the American River Winery in 1911. It was shut down in 1930 after federal agents forced its closure for violating Prohibition laws. Today, Brookside serves lunch and dinner, and is available for receptions, parties, weddings, and other events.
