Share the Love in 2023

This holiday season marks the 16th annual partnership between Meals on Wheels America and Subaru America for the 2023 Share the Love Event. Since 2008, Subaru and its participating retailers have donated more than 4.3 million meals and helped provide friendly visits to seniors being served by local Meals on Wheels programs across the country. Why does Subaru support Meals on Wheels? About 10 million seniors are threatened by or experience hunger and 1 in 2 seniors are living alone and lack the income to pay for basic needs. Seniors are particularly vulnerable to inflation spikes and cost of living increases. Therefore, we are proud to partner with Subaru for this event to help us continue to reach those seniors who are often left behind, struggling to make ends meet and maintain their independence. At Meals on Wheels by ACC, we are committed to providing more than just a meal. We strive to offer a warm, friendly check-up, and other safety-net services to seniors all over Sacramento County. Our goal is to make sure that no seniors are left behind and that they can live healthy, fulfilling lives with dignity and respect. How it works: As part of a national partnership with Meals on Wheels America, Subaru of America, Inc. and its retailers will donate a minimum of $300 to charity, like Meals on Wheels, for every new vehicle leased or sold from November 16, 2023, to January 2, 2024.* For more information, please visit www.mealsonwheelsamerica.org/sharethelove. *Subaru will donate $250 for every new Subaru vehicle sold or leased from November 16, 2023, through January 2, 2024, to four national charities designated by the purchaser or lessee. The four national charities will receive a guaranteed minimum donation of $250,000 each. All donations made by Subaru of America, Inc. Pre-approved Hometown Charities may be selected for donation depending on retailer participation. For every new Subaru vehicle sold or leased during the campaign period, participating retailers will donate a minimum of $50 in total to their registered Hometown Charities.
