Share the Love in 2022

This holiday season marks the 15th annual partnership between Meals on Wheels America and Subaru America for the 2022 Share the Love Event. Our partnership over the past 15 years has aided in donating nearly 4 million meals and friendly visits to seniors being served by local Meals on Wheels programs across the county. Why does Subaru support Meals on Wheels? In 2021, 1 in 8 seniors were threatened by or experienced hunger and 1 in 4 seniors were alone and isolated. We partner with Subaru to help us reach those seniors left behind, alone, hungry, and struggling to stay independent and healthy. Meals on Wheels by ACC prides itself on being more than just a meal. We aim to deliver not only a nutritious meal but also a friendly check-up and other safety-net services to seniors all over Sacramento County. How it works: As part of a national partnership with Meals on Wheels America, Subaru of America, Inc. willdonate $250 to the purchaser’s choice of participating charities* – one of which is Meals on Wheels America –for every new vehicle purchased or leased from November 17, 2022, through January 3, 2023. Since 2008,Subaru and its participating retailers have donated $27 million to Meals on Wheels programs- and you can help grow that total! We understand if you cannot participate in purchasing or leasing a Subaru vehicle. However, you can still help by sharing, reposting, and liking our social media and blog posts to spread the word to your friends and family this holiday season. Here are a few other ways you can help: And remember: this holiday season you can ensure our senior neighbors are not forgotten, when you purchase or lease a new Subaru and select Meals on Wheels as your charity of choice! Subaru share the love event *Subaru will donate $250 for every new Subaru vehicle sold or leased from November 17, 2022, through January 3, 2023, to four national charities designated by the purchaser or lessee. Pre-approved Hometown Charities may be selected for donation depending on retailer participation. For every new Subaru vehicle sold or leased during the campaign period, participating retailers will donate a minimum of $50 in total to their registered Hometown Charities. Subaru will donate a total of $5 to their registered Hometown Charities for every Subaru vehicle routine service visit during the campaign period. A routine visit includes customer payment of $5 or greater, or any service that includes a genuine Subaru oil filter. Purchasers/lessees must make their charity designations by January 13, 2023. The four national charities will receive a guaranteed minimum donation of $250,000 each. See your local Subaru retailer for details or visit subaru.com/share.
